Pastoral Care Division at the Jesus Lord of the Harvest Fellowship exist for a five-fold ministry:
To ensure that a correct balance of the mission of the church (JLHF) is effectively and rightfully in place (mernbers, constituents, person served in missions)
To support and enhance the multiplication of leaders inside the church
To establish new and regular believers alike in the faith through the ministries of the Pastoral Care Division
To be an effective arm of the church for ministering wholly to the needs of the different groups of people being served along with their varying needs
To release believers into the life and people flow of the church.
Philosophy of ministry
All people matter to God and therefore to us.
The church is the healing centre of the Lord Jesus Christ ministering wholly to man (spirit, soul and body).
The church is not a social service entity and therefore any attempt taken to help people must go beyond material needs and must lead to a life-style of wholeness which includes financial responsibility, emotional stability, spiritual growth, productivity and effectiveness in the kingdom of God.
Committing oneself to a faith life in Jesus opened the door for more opportunities of success and excellence.
Every believer is called to lead.
Strategy of ministry
We ara a people-oriented division/ministry because Jesus died for them. The division is a subset of the ten-fold stfategy of the Church namely:
(1) Relationship building
(2)
Witnessing for Jesus
(3)
Providing reflective and celebrative local community church service
(4)
Small group participation
(5)
Ministry involvement
(6) Training/development
(8) Community-based program/support groups
(9) Leadership
(10) Encouragement/mentoring

Transferable principles
The Pastoral Care Division of the church adheres to the following overall principles:
Every believer needs pastoral care.
Every believer must care in order to be able to shepherd or give care.
The pastor of the local church must multiply his pastoral gift to ensure effective pastoral care of the people of God in his charge.
The growth potential of the church is increased dramatically by an effective pastoral care program in the church.
